The Lazarus Effect By (RED): Red is an initiative begun by U2's Bono and Bobby Shriver from DATA to raise money for the Global Fund to fight HIV. Each time a (RED) product or service is bought 50% of the profit will be given up to buy and distribute antiretroviral medicine to people facing HIV and AIDS in Africa. 'The Lazarus Effect' is a documentary funded by (RED) that traces the lives of 5 people who are, in varying degrees, ill with HIV. The film journeys with these characters as they begin antiretroviral treatment and we witness the profound effect these drugs have on their lives.
